I can't provide actual statistics or scientific proof, but we have also seen a
sharp drop in Spam Assassin's effectiveness - simply put, a lot of spam is
getting into our public email boxes. I am talking about an increase to at
least twice or three times the number of incoming spam messages.
On the other hand, it seems spamoracle (which we use on the client side but
only for our private mail addresses) is still holding on - I am not seeing a
significant increase of spam in my personal inbox.
