Hello All:
I am a Linux enthusiast currently living in Israel (moved from
New York City). For the past year or so I've been helping a small
factory in my Kibbutz get their technology in order. Also trying to wean
them off Micro$oft products. The factory has about 20 users and they use
an ERP application called Ma'ale. They are currently planning to
"upgrade" their systems using a new Windows based version of the Ma'ale
application (client and server) along with Microsoft's SBS and terminal
server (!!!???$$$$). Of course this REALLY bugs me because I KNOW that
there must be a Linux solution out there. The only problem is that their
current system (Ma'ale) is completely in Hebrew and the factory wants to
stay that way and I don't know much about the Linux ERP applications
Hebrew situation. I'd like to know of there is anyone who is familiar
with Ma'ale and knows of a similar application on Linux in Hebrew? Maybe
someone would like to offer some ideas or talk directly to the factory
as a private consultant. I would prefer that to the Micro$oft peddling
bunch that are talking to them now.
Any help is appreciated,
Ben Hornedo
