before everything - if you answer me please respect the REPLY-TO and do
it off list, it's off topic here.
there is a new Google fashion social networking venture thing called
Orkut. I know there are a few geeks from this community on it, so I post
this here, but I don't intend to open a discussion on the list.
I got invited, it's tempting to try it out but 14 years on the internet
made me a bit paranoid of such ventures. Google offers webmail with huge
storage but you pay for it with the content-specific ads that dig the
text of your private mail. now they give you a social network but
apperently if you dare discuss anything meant to be private on it,

So, dear friends in geekdom, freedom and privacy lovers, am I paranoid
without reason?
your input and opinions are wellcome off the list, and sorry for the
interruption.
