Thank you for the quick response, here are the configuration files:
Why would it be a dns problem if I have the hostname listed in my hosts
file? I also have my target smtp server listed there.
Here is the file /etc/exim4/update-exim4.conf.conf, and the autogenerated
file for exim that is created when it loads.

Hi Nachum,
It sounds like you have a DNS problem. Can you give us more details, like
your exim.conf.
