Basically, what Ira said. Either IGLU, or a Hebrew page for Linux
newbies, or anything else which will be deemed best serving the
community and the public.
As the use of "linux.org.il" does not seem overly common for accessing
the IGLU web site (and there is no technical problem preventing keeping
linux-il_at_linux.org.il working), this seems like a not-too-problematic
issue (please correct me if I'm wrong).

So, are you saying that you will or will not eat 5 pizzas?
The reason "whoever it is that holds iglu.org.il" (a.k.a. Ira) was not
contacted is partly because I'm a little busy, and partly because I feel
bad about not giving him the check reimbursing him for buying
"hamakor.org.il" yet (which is registered after Hamakor -
http://register.isoc.org.il/register/whois/whois.php?search=hamakor.org.il).
We are trying to bring them in under the assumption that society held
domains are harder to abuse than privately held domains, and without
trying to say in any way that any of the currently registered domains
were abused in the past.
