Hi All

I have a very peculiar problem with my network connection.
I'm connected to the LAN at work via a DHCP (MS) and the gateway to the
internet is an MS proxy .
I'm running the only linux machine in that LAN and i see many times that
i lose my connction to the net - the network freezes and nothing short
of a full reboot doesn't solve the problem ,
i tried restarting the network service , reloading it , switching to
init 2 and going back to init 5 , nothing seemed to work .

i'm running a MDK 9.0 (out of the box - meaning kernel 2.4.19-16) on a
PIII 833 with 256MB SDRAM and a 20 GB maxtor HD , the NIC is a Intel
eepro100 .

i include here the output from the lspci :
00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corp. 82815 815 Chipset Host Bridge and
Memory Controller Hub (rev 02)
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corp. 82815 CGC [Chipset
Graphics Controller] (rev 02)
00:1e.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corp. 82801BA/CA PCI Bridge (rev 02)
00:1f.0 ISA bridge: Intel Corp. 82801BA ISA Bridge (LPC) (rev 02)
00:1f.1 IDE interface: Intel Corp. 82801BA IDE U100 (rev 02)
00:1f.2 USB Controller: Intel Corp. 82801BA/BAM USB (Hub #1) (rev 02)
00:1f.3 SMBus: Intel Corp. 82801BA/BAM SMBus (rev 02)
00:1f.5 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corp. 82801BA/BAM AC'97 Audio
(rev 02)
01:08.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corp. 82801BA/BAM/CA/CAM Ethernet
Controller (rev 01)

and the tail -15 of the /var/log/messages file output :

can anyone help me and tell me how to fix this problem ?
Thanks
