Hi,
I would like to upgarde my kernel, and I need some external patches for some
wierd devices/needs in my system. I would like to ask you all, what is your
experience with these pacthes:
1) swsusp2:
I am using it on 2.6.9, and I cannot stop :)
On the official site http://softwaresuspend.berlios.de/ I could not find a
patch for version 10 of the 2.6 kernel series. Does it apply to 2.6.10? Or
wait/modify the patch?
2) lirc
I have an old flyvideo card which has a remote control. I would like to make
it work again (TV workd quite fine, but see question bellow)
3) bootsplash
I like those things, patches and ideas are always welcomed. There are many
versions/types for getting this effect. I would like to have a recomendation
for the "best" out there.
4) supermount
.. or something similar. Is it supported under 2.6? How stable is it?
5) any other cool thing will be welcomed.
Now, my last question is about linux4video:
If I remember, there was an option in the kernel for getting "digital" audio
from my TV card. This way, I can unplug the cord that comes out of the TV
card into the sound card.
Does anyone have experience with this kind of setup?
The system is Debian testing, using plain old devices (no devfs/udev
thingies).
