Eitan mentioned in the page: "
"(yes this was made using proprietry software, but I regard the software
used to
make the file the same as I would regard hardware synths, or hardware
computers
- tools)"
While we're on the subject. I've been searching for ages for a decent
Free music studio software, and so far I didn't find anything that even
comes close to what I want, which is:
1. high level multitrack recording and mixing.
2. advanced digital audio editing and mixing functions.
3. compatibility with VST plugins or an abundance of other plugins.
4. built-in MIDI sequencer which can plug to multiple MIDI cards.
So far, I've stumbled upon many software projects that have one or two
of these functions, but none that has all of them. I've tried Ardour,
Muse, ProTux, Brahms, SLab and others.
Meanwhile I haven't found anything I like. Right now I'm working with
the free (as in beer) version of ProTools on Win.
I know a lot of work is being done in the area. Anyone has other
recommendations for good software in that area?
